Bristol City O V Leeds United 3

Bristol City are confident the game will go ahead at Ashton Gate on Saturday against Leeds United despite overnight temperatures dropping well below zero.

City have covered the complete playing area and are also using hot air blowers and say that despite the overnight frost the pitch is playable at this moment in time.

They have had groundstaff working around the clock to make sure the playing surface remains playable and intend to do so overnight.

The club have also stated on their official website that there are no planned pitch inspections at this moment in time.

Latest Team News

Leeds United play their first game under caretaker boss Neil Redfearn on Saturday and he may make changes after the disappointing 4-1 defeat to Birmingham City in midweek, which proved to be Simon Grayson`s last game in charge.

The defence came in for particular criticism on Tuesday and with Leigh Bromby and Andy O`Brien back in training, there could be changes in the centre of defence.

Young Tottenham Hotspur right back Adam Smith signed on transfer deadline day and he could come into the side at the expense of Zac Thompson.

Winger Robbie Rogers will also be pushing for a place in the squad after training this week following the completion of his deal from MLS side Columbus Crew.

Leeds have just Davide Somma and Patrick Kisnorbo currently on the sidelines.

Somma is yet to feature this season following a cruciate knee ligament injury in pre-season. The South African international is back in training and hoping to be in contention in the next 6-8 weeks.

Kisnorbo is out for the season after suffering a knee injury in the game with Burnley on January 2nd.

Bristol City will definitely be without defender Brian Carey who will serve a one-match ban for his sending off at Reading last weekend.

Marvin Elliott and Liam Fontaine missed the game at Reading last week and are once again doubts for this game.

Ryan Taylor is continuing his return to fitness after suffering a metatarsal injury.

David Clarkson is out for the season after suffering an ankle injury in training last week.

WHO IS GOING TO BE LEEDS NEXT MANAGER

Leeds United can confirm that the club has been inundated with credible approaches for the vacant managerial position since the departure of Simon Grayson and his staff on Wednesday.

The club will begin the process of examining the expressions of interest early next week.

We can confirm at this stage that no approaches have been made, either directly or indirectly, to potential candidates, either in work or currently looking for employment, although we have been offered the services of many who are currently in work.

Now since the sacking of Simon Grayson at Leeds United and the bookmakers still have no idea of who the next Leeds manager will be.

When the book opened following his sacking, all the early money was on Neil Warnock to taking over, with his odds slashed to as short as 1/4 on at one stage.

Since then he has drifted in the market and is now around 7/2 second favourite.

There has been a rush of money for Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark.

Clark has come in from around 10/1 to 5/6 on with Sky Bet.

Norwich City boss Paul Lambert has surprisingly been linked this week. The canaries boss has led the club to back-to-back promotions and he is as short as 8/1 with Sky Bet.

One of the early favourites, Roberto Di Matteo has seen his odds drift and he is now generally around 12/1, although Sky Bet have him at just 8/1.

Steve Bruce is generally between 10-12/1 but Ladbrokes have him as short as 3/1.

Prediction League

Kane Vincent was the top predictor for the game between Bristol City & Leeds

On Saturday 4th February...

Kane predicted the correct score of 3-0 and was the only player to score points.

Kane tops the February league and the 3 points won, has put him joint top with Roger Dixon on the year to date table.

With 17 games left, it is getting tight at the top and there are quite a few players that could win the £50 yearly prize.........
