Swindon Fan’s Join In With Celebration of Lennon Wood’s Being Mascot
Cleethorpes Whites have been contacted by Iain Huddy from the fans forum The Town End.Com. Iain has asked the branch if their members could contribute to making Lennon’s day special and present him with a gift (We said “3 points would be the perfect gift on the day”) It just goes to show that fan’s win the day again and all the inside football politics gets demoted to second place. You can view all the comments about Lennon by either clicking their logo above or clicking here What a fantastic gesture from our opponents and I for one would like to meet up with their supporters before the game to thank them. I will be mentioning their offer to Lorna and Paul Dew’s “media manager for Leeds” and see if we can get something in the programme? Even a presentation on the pitch would be great...... On behalf of Cleethorpes Whites, Iain a big thank you to you and your fellow supporters.... Committee Cleethorpes Whites
Leeds v Brentford Saturday March 6th Leeds United boss Simon Grayson thought the side played well against Brentford, despite them dropping more points in their pursuit of promotion.
Speaking on Sky Sports News Grayson said " I thought we was good today, the first goal in any football match is vitally important and we didn`t get it. We kept going and got our just rewards in the end by at least getting a point. On another day we could have won the game quite comfortably."
Leeds dominated for long periods without ever seriously threatening the Brentford goal. Snodgrass probably had Leeds best effort of the first half in the opening minutes when Szczesny in the Brentford goal tipped his free kick wide.
The visotrs took the lead on the hour when MacDonald`s shot was well saved by Ankergren only for his save to hit Strevens and find it`s way into the back of the net.
Leeds eventually got back on level terms with just under twenty minutes remaining when Beckford tapped in from close range.
Michalik came closest to winning all three points for Leeds in the dying minutes but his shot came back off the post.
With Charlton winning, Leeds have seen the gap between them and Charlton cut to two points in the battle for second place.

Cleethorpes Whites Members Ticket Update CW have been informed that we have been unsuccessful with our branch applications for the following games: Southampton and Norwich - Only season ticket holders were successful Tickets for Yeovil seem favorable and we have a good chance We are next on the list for Tranmere and are hopeful of getting our allocation. The committee are really disappointed on behalf of our members and ourselves that we have been unsuccessful. The 15% allocation of tickets for members is not enough and Leeds really need to review this for next season......

Fans Remember - Kevin Speight and Chris Loftus
The family and friends of Chris and Kevin feel that they wish to commemorate this significant milestone and have decided to raise money for Candlelighters childrens cancer charity in their memory. The original idea was to hold a celebrity event at Elland Rd in April 2010 with a all proceeds going to Candlelighters, however with the input of enthusiastic family + friends this has now snowballed to the level where we are trying to hold one fund raising event a month between September 2009 and April 2010.
